DIY Floral Sunglasses

The first time I saw this photo on the internet, I know to myself that I want it and I need to get it. I've been eyeing on this floral sunglasses or Dolce & Gabbana's Baroque-inspired for months now, searching the stores in world wide web but I can't find any. Mister Google only gave me DIY results. So, why not DIBM (do-it-by-myself), right?
But its not that easyyyyy. At first I didn't know where I can buy those ceramic flowers. I visited all the stores that possibly selling that thingy in our small town. While roaming Daet, suddenly a visual popped on my mind, I knew where I can find them. I went to an accessories store, and there you go I got some earrings with ceramic flowers on it.

You'll need:
  • a pair of sunglasses
  • ceramic flowers (mine was detached from earrings)
  • popsicle stick (mine was tongue depressor, I hope you know why haha)
  • toothpick
  • super glue

Start by squeezing a small amount of super glue onto the popsicle stick. Because it drys quickly.
Using the tip of the toothpick,  apply a little onto the back of the flower of your choice. Press the flower firmly and hold it in place until the glue sets. I started at the outer corner of my sunglasses then add another inwards.
When the front flower sets, unfold the sunglasses and add some more at the side or arms. Repeat on the other side and allow to dry for a couple of hours.

Your floral sunglasses are ready to wear!!!

  4. cute. it looks fun. i enjoy being creative, doing stuff myself, if i am able to. also, check out those jewelry stores, usually found at the garment district, where they sell beads and other do it yourself items for people into crafting and sewing. that is where i bought my gems and beads and studs to design the back of my denim jacket. this floral theme is also perfect for autumn 2012 fashions, worn with lace, faded denim and flomo clothes and accessories.
