TENNIS SKIRT

Top: OntheDot OnlineShop / Tennis Skirt: Vintage / Heels: Mango / Sunnies: Sunnies by Charlie (Zalora) /
Watch: Michael Kors

Photos by Donna de Belen

I'm browsing instagram everyday and Martine Cajucom never failed to amaze me with her own fashion style and photos. While checking her photos earlier today, I noticed that she's wearing a lot of vintagey pleated skirts, also known as tennis skirts. If  you guys didn't know, I'm a frustrated tennis player, seriously! I do clinics when I was still in grade school until early high school but didn't pursue it for some reason. And I still adore Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams. They're great players and stylish at the same time.
But Martine was really the one who inspired me today. So I raided my old closet, looked for my baby blue pleated skirt back in high school, it was actually a hand me down from my Aunt way back then and thank God it's adjustable, and here I am channeling Martine Cajucom wearing tennis skirt. She's really my peg now, can't you see I'm also wearing her brand Sunnies by Charlie that I got from Zalora Philippines

Please expect to see me wearing this skirt more often and wishing to have more vintage tennis skirts soon. I need more kinds and in different colors. :)

xx

ZALORA PHILIPPINES

I suddenly feel again the feeling of "I have nothing to wear." I know every now and then you guys feel that too, am I right? But I was so busy, that sometimes I do not have time to go shopping at the mall or what Carrie Bradshaw calls it as her "cardio" exercise. But what should I do, I need new clothes. So I think of another way to make it happen and Zalora Philippines pops into my mind. I ordered everything last Friday and now they're in my property with no fuss. Online shopping has never been this easy and fun.

Zalora is a one stop online destination for everything fashion in the Philippines. They carry a lot of local brands and imported items. Actually I got three items from them, a dress from The Ramp, skirt from Ezra, and a very cute sunnies by Charlie. It was so easy to browse and navigate, just a simple step by step that everyone can follow. Also, there's nothing to worry about because Zalora is legit and very safe. I will definitely go shopping from them again.

You can see some of my recent buys on my next posts. So excited to wear them all!

MADEMOISELLE C

Mademoiselle Carine. I think this documentary is more fun than The September Issue, isn't it? VOGUE Paris vs. Vogue US. Ok I'll stop comparing because the EIC is already Emmanuelle Alt, and Parisian is far different from American. The trailer looks really interesting. Full of glitz and glamour Full of fashion and art. Full of models and superstars. And more more inspiring designers.
Can't wait to see it!

P.S  Have you noticed the photo shoot where the model is wall climbing while just holding on a light fabric? That is really WOW!

YIN YANG

Top: Zara / Skater Skirt: Divisoria / Sneakers: New Balance 574 / Watch: Michael Kors / Sunnies: Divisoria

Photos by Donna de Belen

Saturday was a very long day for me. I planned to wear this a little decent outfit except for the sneakers because I have to attend an event in Crowne Plaza for the office from day to night. Don't you love the details on my sleeve? :) But before that event, me and my sister meet our balikbayan cousins from Canada to have some lunch first in Yabu, Megamall. They're are just here for a vacation, so we agreed to just have lunch only and then part ways after it because of other errands we need to do. But unfortunately, the rain poured down so hard so I wasn't able to attend my event and my sister wasn't able to attend her class as well. But Donna just got lucky later on because of the heavy rain, schools cancelled all the classes. Oh Manila!

So we decided to just stay with them then every plan got changed. I feel so young again when I'm with Princess, Joecon, and Sherwin. It brings back a lot of childhood memoirs. Thank God, the rain also turned to our favor after two hours. From Megamall we went to Boom na Boom, it's a go kart racing circuit in Pasay City, too sad we can't use the facility due to wet racing trak. So I just grabbed the opportunity to take some outfit photos.
We transferred to Mall of Asia and just went ice skating. The last time I've been there was 4 years ago, so I really miss gliding in the ice. Ice skating was really fun though it will make you really tired that's why we gave up in less than an hour.
Lastly, we had our dinner to Sakae Sushi, also located in MOA. The place is really cute because they have a sushi train, you can eat all the sushi on the conveyor for only Php399. Hi there Joecon! :))

FEELING BLUE

Chambray Button Down: H&M / Origami Skirt: Apartment 8 / Jacket: Thrifted / Clogs: CMG

Photos by Donna de Belen

First of all, I want to say thank you to my sister who spare me a little of her time just to snap some photos of my outfit, despite of her busy schedule in studying. I really appreciated it. I love you!

I am glad that I have something to post on my blog today because I wasn't able to blog last week. There's a therapeutic feeling when I write in here, so I really wish I can do this more often. I was just feeling blue this past few weeks because of many reasons. Maybe I just need someone to talk to, someone to be with that I can talk about my thoughts and ideas. Someone that will inspire me and encourage me in good ways. Communication is really important right? But it's really hard for us to express what we really feel inside especially on those people that you're not close with. Of course there are some people that I trust and discuss everything that's on my mind, but sometimes those people are so busy and they have no more time with you. I'm trying my best to understand, so please bare with me also my dear readers with this drama-rama of mine.

Anyway, let's end the emo part and proceed about my outfit of the day. Today which is Sunday, I wore this for a late lunch date with my sister at Teresita's in Tomas Morato.  Teresita's is also owned by the Razon's, so they're almost similar to each other. We suddenly miss their best Kare-Kare in the city with a very affordable price. I can't prove it to you in words and I didn't take a picture of it too, but it's a must try! I swear. :)

HYPEBEAST

Tank Top: Forever21 / Jeans: Levi's / Flats: H&M / Cap: Comme des Fuckdown / Watch: Michael Kors / Accessories: H&M / Lipstick: MAC Lady Danger

Photos by Donna de Belen

Someone called me a hypebeast last week, I'm not sure why but maybe I am wearing this Comme des Fuckdown snapback and my New Balance 574 that night. She's a friend of mine and I just took it as a compliment. Maybe she thinks I was feeling cool that night and she got it right. Anyway I don't care, I wear what I wanted to wear.

But for today's outfit, I just wore a very simple outfit for a sundate with my sister and put a highly pigmented red lipstick for some additional life on my face. We had our late lunch at Uncle Cheffy, we ordered their best salad with lechon and some panizza. Oh so yummy!

It was so gloomy and it doesn't make me happy, I hope the typhoon (insert typhoon's name here) is out of Philippine responsibility right now. Sorry I didn't know any news or even it's name because we don't have cable here in our apartment. Keep safe and dry everyone.

LUST FOR LIFE

Six days ago, I posted a photo just like what's above at my instagram account. I'm asking people to help me in deciding what to get between the two shoes. The New Balance 574 or the Zara leather heels? I know the styles are far different from each other for me to be confused. Some people said to buy the heels because it's really sexy, some told me to get both. Yeah, it really came to the point that I want to buy the two. But most of my friends replied to get the sneakers, because they know that I'm always working out and running as often. But the reason why I wanted to buy that sneakers is just for walking and not for training purposes. And it's really not practical to buy them at the same time, for me it's too much. I'm not impulsive as that. Haha.
After how many days of contemplating, I already decided to buy the sneakers when I get back to Manila.

Now that I already picked the sneakers over the heels. The budget left for it is now competing for three items. Of course the heels is still there, I' in love with it. Don't worry, I'll try you first before paying the New Balance sneakers.
Anyways, let's proceed to the new problem. I don't know what to avail on my left savings now between the three. Which one of them worth the money that I got? Is it still the Zara leather heels (a classic one), or The XX concert in Manila (on July 30 and maybe a once in a lifetime experience), or the Nikon 50mm lens (that I can use for more better photos in my blog)?

Let me know what are your opinions for the stuff I'm lusting this month guys.
It's really hard to choose so I will really appreciate everyone's opinion. Thank you!

MARIMAR

Off Shoulder Top: Ombre Manila / Shorts: Forever21 / Heels: Payless / Watch: Michael Kors

Sorry for photo bombing , I'm just #GGSS or "Gandang Ganda Sa Sarili" in these pictures. This is what I wore yesterday in TriNoma to get my nails done with my sister at our favorite Bench Fix Salon
I feel like MariMar (Thalia and not Marian Rivera) when I'm wearing this white off shoulder top, actually it's my current favorite this summer. I don't know why, but maybe because I just feel beautiful, girly, and lakas maka-dyosa in this top. Hahaha! Please forgive me for being such a "feelingera", that's the confidence that I have.

Then at night, I invited my best friend Regine to join us for dinner in Mango Tree Bistro. My sister and I are craving for Thai cuisine especially Thai iced tea, yeah still can't get over with the food in Bangkok. We ordered Yum Mamuang (Green mango salad with peanuts and grated coconut), Gai Hor (Marinated chicken thigh wrapped in pandan leaves served w/ sweet tamarind sauce), Pork Spare Ribs Curry and of course Thai ice tea. Nom! After this dinner, cravings satisfied and our tummy was so full seriously, then we hopped at Nommu to have some few drinks and a lot of chikas to catch up. Best manic Monday! xx

COMME des FUCKDOWN

Muscle Shirt: Bangkok / Leggings: Forever21 / Flats: H&M / Snapback: Comme des Fuckdown / Bag: Balenciaga / Aviators: Bangkok / Gold Watch: Michael Kors

After 9 months of lusting for this Comme des Fuckdown snapback (check my August mood board last year here), my sister and I finally found it in Bangkok. My sister spotted it at the mall and our eyes really dilated. With no hesitation, we bought it right away then wore it immediately the next day.
On our fourth day there or what we call last day in Bangkok, we went to Wat Pho, yes another Buddhist temple aka Temple of the Reclining Buddha. This temple was the most beautiful of all we have been to, it was so big, everything is symmetrical. The architecture and every details is amazing. One tip I can give you is when visiting some temples, make sure to wear clothes that have sleeves and bottoms that cover your entire legs especially girls. Since Bangkok's summer weather is so hot hot hot! It's really unavoidable to wear sleeveless and shorts, so it's better to be ready and bring cover ups like light cardigans. But for those who are not aware and clueless visitors, they let them borrow some robes and ethnic floor length skirts before entering. But for hygienic purposes it's better to have your own. Also, Wat Pho is adjacent to Grand Palace, too bad we are running out of time so we didn't experience the place, just outside the gate.

KISS ASS ORIGAMI SKIRT

Kiss T-Shirt: Thirfted / Origami Skort: Apartment 8 / Flats: H&M / Sunnies: Divisoria / Necklace: Vivienne Westwood

On our third day, we rose again and went "shooooopinggggg". We don't have any plans for Bangkok on that day, so we went straight to Siam Paragon, on our excitement we didn't even notice that it was just 9:30 in the morning when we arrived and the mall opens at 10am just like here in Philippines. They said Siam Paragon is The Pride of Bangkok, it's a high end mall and it is one of the biggest shopping centres in Asia. They have Balenciaga, Dolce & Gabbana, Saint Laurent, and name other brands that you want to covet. Even their Zara was far far different from here in Philippines, their collection and selection of clothes are wider and more beautiful than here. Anyways,  I didn't bought anything from there, I hauled somewhere that we don't have it here yet, which is H&M. Thank to my Mama! <3

Enough of my the mall experience, let's proceed to my #ootd that day. I know the Zara origami skort is ubiquitous in this season's blogospehere, but I'm just wearing a cheaper version from Apartment 8. It's really cheap because it's less than Php1000 compare to the Zara one. But of course the quality is different also, but I don't wanna spend too much on something trendy like this. Plus, have you seen anyone took a picture of the skort at the back? None! Because the back or the shorts part doesn't look good. How I wish it's origami style at the back part also, but still have a shorts inside.

FLOATING MARKET

Top: Forever21 / Shorts: Forever21 / Flats: H&M / Hat: SM Dept. Store / Bag: Balenciaga / Sunnies: Gurly Glam Shoppe

One and half hour, that's how long you will travel from Bangkok to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. It was a long drive so we had the chance to sleep going there. Yey!
We have spent our second day from elephants to the floating market. Just like here in Philippines, the place is more provincial so the weather or air was more like fresher compare to the city. But still it was hot, thank God my #ootd for second day was the comfiest of what I brought. I guess they're all cotton with very light fabric, you can sleep with them too. Haha! I think stripes and floral are a great combo for summer, simple not too loud but then your not plain. For me it's still very important to wear comfortble clothes when you travel. Like on this situation, I enjoyed sitting comfortably on our boat rides.

On the other note, can you still remember my Beijing trip last year? Where I was also drinking Coca-Cola. This year I made it again, I'm planning to make a cola adventure in every country I will go. From last year, this year, next year and to the coming years. *Fingers crossed*

BANGKOK PILLS

Top: Forever21 / Pants: Forever21 / Shoes: H&M / Bag: Balenciaga / Hat: SM Dept. Store / Sunnies: Folded&Hung

While everyone is in Boracay during labor day week, here I am soaking under the sun of Bangkok, Thailand with the temperature of 36° to be exact. But before anything else, I want to greet you "Sawasdee ka!" and I'm back in blogging. I traveled with my whole family by the way, from May 2-5.

I will share with you first my #ootds, then next is the photo diary of every single day. :) So this is what I wore on our first day there. As you can see I'm wearing a hat. I'm the person who's so lazy bringing an umbrella, so that hat is really perfect for my summer getaway. It was not just an accessory to make me look more chic, but it really helps me to cover and protect my face from the sizzling sun that grilled my upper extremities a little bit.

P.S  Never mind my title above, I'm just feeling a little cray cray today. "Kapunka."
